It All Started In The 70s…

The passion for stereo gear started in Inglewood during the 70s, when my father would drag home huge Altec & JBL speakers and big tube amplifiers. He would go to the local electronics store to buy parts and then sit down and build an amplifier, and low and behold after he was finished it would work! We had the most rockin house in the neighborhood.

Along Came 2006…

With my dad’s love of stereo gear instilled in me, joined by my family, we decided to open That Old Retro Store on 17 Avenue SE Calgary and later moving to 16 Avenue NW.

And Finally…

In 2015, our re-located to Inglewood, where my love of vintage gear began!

We offer sales, service and repairs to vintage audio gear. Hundreds of pre-owned, fully serviced vintage audio & speakers complete with a 90 day warranty, along with thousands used vinyl records, cds, tapes and a growing selection of new vinyl records.
