Audio Repairs

All audio gear and/or speakers can be brought to our Inglewood locations for repair. Please note, it is difficult for us to give you an “estimate” over the phone without inspecting your piece.  We will do our best to guide you in the right direction whether or not your unit is repairable.

Our technicians are equipped with all the tools and 40+ years of knowledge and experience to properly diagnose & repair, amps, tape decks, pre-amps, receivers, turntables & more.

Hourly Repair Rate $125.00 per hour plus GST, please keep in mind any shop supplies, parts & accessories that are required will be charged accordingly.

With full confidence in our technicians we offer a 90 day limited warranty on repairs performed in our shop. Warranty will only cover “specific” work completed by That Old Retro Store.

Some of the steps in our repair process

Burnt out lamps will be replaced – upgraded to LEDs
Circuit boards will be re-soldered, as needed
All controls and switches are cleaned
Belt Replacement
Each unit is fully tested

When you come in, our staff will check your unit in and ask you a few question regarding what issues you are experiencing.

Next, we will require an initial diagnosis fee of $100.00 plus GST, this fee is non-refundable (it covers our technicians time diagnosing your unit). Should you decide to have your piece repaired, this amount will be deducted from your final invoice.

Once your item is in our shop, it will be checked over and a diagnosis will be completed. If your item can be repaired for under $250, we will undertake the repairs without notification. If the repair estimate is over $250 you will be contacted for authorization.

After your approval, That Old Retro Store will repair, clean & provide parts and accessories to complete the repair, turnaround time is about 3 to 4 weeks depending on the availability of parts.
